Adán A. González III
Adán González was born and raised in Laredo, Texas, where he was in private practice from 1988 until 2016 when he began practicing in San Antonio. He interned then practiced at one of Laredo’s oldest law firms where he became a partner at Jones & González, later Jones, González & Maddox. With his law partner, he secured 7-figure settlements in business disputes against national law firms in Laredo, Texas. Adán brings those same nimble, energetic, studious litigation skills in disputes involving closely held business, joint venture, family, oil and gas, and probate law.
From 1988 to about 2014, Adán successfully litigated in firms with 5 lawyers or less, often against multiple and renown boutique law firms. This litigation required quick preparation and thorough analysis of complicated legal claims that often depended on Spanish-language-dominant witnesses. This litigation also required a deep appreciation for and understanding of the litigation and discovery customs of border county trials.
In 2016, Adán began applying those skills in representing Fortune 500 insurers in state and federal court in San Antonio. He has successfully litigated property and serious personal injury claims in Bexar, Cameron, Starr and Webb counties, while settling many such claims for less than authority. In his spare time, Adán enjoys traveling, tennis and entertaining with his wife of 38 years and their 3 adult children.
