Paul A. Gaytan
Paul was born in San Antonio, TX, and raised in his hometown Seguin, TX.
Paul earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas School of Law in 1998, and has been practicing personal injury law in South Texas for more than 20 years. Prior to law school, Paul graduated with high honors from Texas Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He also studied abroad at the University of London.
From 1998 to 2008, Paul worked for an insurance defense firm based in McAllen, where he became a partner and opened/managed the Corpus Christi office for the firm. During that time, Paul primarily defended hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice cases throughout South Texas.
Paul went on to represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases from 2008 through 2019. He was also an Instructor and the Chair of South Texas College’s Paralegal Department from 2013 to 2016, where he taught every course offered in the program.
Paul joined Brock Guerra in 2020, where he utilizes the experience gained on both sides of the docket to get the best results for his clients.
Paul is also dedicated to serving his community and provides various free legal services to indigent clients. He is a recognized member of the State Bar of Texas Pro Bono College and State Bar of Texas Care Campaign.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys running, kayaking, and trail biking.
