Kimberly R. Graves

Kimberly was born and raised in San Antonio and is a true-at-heart Texan and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Prior to attending law school, Kimberly worked in various management positions in the construction and hospitality industries where she gained over a decade of valuable business management experience. In 2009 she graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and she and her husband welcomed her fist son later that same year, Elijah. After welcoming a set of twin boys in 2012, Colton and Daniel, and the “baby” boy, Jacob, in 2014, Kimberly began her studies at St. Mary’s University Law School in August 2014.

While attending St. Mary’s University, she completed numerous internships and clerkships, worked as a research assistant for Professor Colin P. Marks, served as Vice President of the Women’s Bar Association her third year, received the coveted St. Mary’s Presidential Award, and received various other awards including the Rock of Justice Award and Christian Legal Society award. Her second year she served as a judicial intern with Judge Xavier Rodriguez, a federal district court judge in the Western District of Texas. Kimberly earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence, magna cum laude, in May 2017 and was licensed to practice law in Texas in November 2017.

Since graduating from law school, she has primarily focused her practice on defending premises liability and general negligence claims. Her trial experience includes federal, state, and justice court through jury verdict. Kimberly has experience working on passenger and commercial vehicle collisions, first party insurance defense, premises liability claims, contract-related claims, business entity and commercial paper disputes, and products liability.

Kimberly views pro bono work as a privileged responsibility of her profession and engages in providing advice or representation to needy individuals. She and her husband Dustin, a teacher in the San Antonio Independent School District for 20-plus years, stay busy raising four energetic boys and pampering their four-legged friend, Ron.
